Dutch quartet YĪN YĪN release their fourth album, Yatta!, in January, extending their remarkable mix of disco, funk, psychedelia and Southeast Asian music, and revealing a band whose groove just keeps getting deeper. Touring globally, from Europe across Asia and America inspired the band to write a new album with influences from all over the globe. One major influence on Yatta! is the sound of Italo Disco – the spacey, psychedelic brand of disco music that arose in Italy in the late 1970s and blossomed in the 1980s.
