It all began for LNA (like ELENA) in 2019, when she was still performing under her real name, Elena Steri. With boundless creativity and no interest in polished conventions, the Nuremberg-based artist launched her career somewhere between indie, pop and folk. Over time, her preferences and sources of inspiration have evolved – her sound is now characterised more by pulsating basslines, plucking synths and her vocals, which are as fragile as they are playful. As a result, the album “soft trigger” (2022) has made a big impact on the German indie scene and paved the way for her to play gigs at c/o pop, Waves Vienna and, yes, here with us too. She’s not one for typical genre clichés, which is why she’s constantly working on new, unexpected twists that turn singles like “Manic” (2024) or “Dontwannagrowup” (2025) into cleverly arranged and masterfully produced earworms. It seems the singer-songwriter simply can’t put a foot wrong. Somewhere between Sylvan Esso, Radiohead and Grimes, her latest EP “Fear Pong” (2026) celebrates contemporary pop music that whets the appetite for the unexpected and the new. Perfect, then, for another visit to Hamburg.
