Heidi Curtis bridges the gap between yesterday and today – between bittersweet nostalgia and a modern sensibility – with impressive elegance. Her voice is powerful and marked by indomitable self-assurance, her sound oscillating between 70s classic rock, folk greats such as Patti Smith, and the energetic alt-pop of a Maggie Rogers – and on top of that, this fire, this overwhelming longing for self-realisation. “I wanna live in ecstasy”, Curtis sings on her debut single, “Undone” (2025), with which she appeared on the British music scene seemingly out of nowhere last year and instantly turned heads.
