Svava Dögg’s works are both personal and social in nature. They often draw upon her own experiences, and those of others, with a system not designed for people; a bureaucratic framework that actually hinders help from reaching those who need it.
"The painting captures what remains in the moment. I had envisioned taking the canvas outside and letting go of everything, it seemed like such a damn good idea, and I was looking forward to it, but then there was nothing left; not in that moment."
